About the Author:
Edwige Danticat est née en Haïti, avant de déménager, à l’âge de douze ans, à Brooklyn aux États-Unis. Auteur de romans, d’essais, de nouvelles et de fictions jeunesse, elle a été citée parmi les « 20 meilleurs jeunes écrivains américains » par la revue Granta en 1996 et finaliste du prestigieux National Book Award en 1995 pour son livre Krik? Krak! (1998). Elle a été récompensée en 2008 par le National Book Critics Circle Award, pour son ouvrage Adieu mon frère.
