Vingt-cinq auteurs des Éditions du Blé ont contribué poèmes, nouvelles, contes, théâtre et essais dans cette collection dirigée et préfacée par J. R. Léveillé. Les textes, presque tous inédits, d’écrivains comme Paul Savoie, Louis Riel et Gabrielle Roy, sont agrémentés de 25 œuvres en couleur d’artistes franco-manitobain. Résultat : un véritable panorama des genres, des styles de la modernité et de l’histoire littéraire de l’Ouest francophone.
