About the Authors

Elinor Renfrew is Associate Head of the Design School and Director for Fashion at Kingston University, UK. Elinor graduated from the renowned MA FAshion course at Central St Martin's, UK and worked in the fashion industry for 10 years before going into education when she moved to Melbourne, Australia, where she taught at RMIT. She has also taught at Manchester Metropolitan University, Edinburgh College of ARt and Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, UK. Elinor has recently been awarded an associate Professorship and is a member of the Graduate Fashion Week and British Fashion Council Steering Committees.

Colin Renfrew is Pro Vice Chancellor Dean at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. He graduated in Printed Textiles from Glasgow School of Art and went on to complete an MA from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Colin has over 30 years' experience in fashion education in the UK, Australia, Sri Lanka and Russia. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and the China Academy of Art.
