Problems of violence on children through various forms of abuses are rampant in Nigeria despite the domestication of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child into the Child’s Rights Act (CRA) since 2003. Ogun was one of the first states to localize the CRA into Child’s Rights Laws. This study was then carried out to assess the awareness and knowledge of CRA among Nigerians with Ogun State as a case study. Children, parents, teachers and social workers from rural and urban areas were interviewed on their awareness and knowledge of CRA, common forms of child’s rights violations, reasons for violating child’s rights and perception of child’s rights to education and health. It revealed that awareness and knowledge of CRA were higher in urban than rural areas of Ogun State. The outcome of this study is useful and recommended to children, parents, teachers, social workers, health workers, researchers and decision makers in the education and health sectors.
