This is not a collection of facts or anthropological treatise, but a book written from the street and photographed. We meet people who do with the utmost dignity, which is to secure their livelihood necessary. The term "sex worker" was chosen by the authors to avoid common negative connotations with the pejorative term "prostitute". The aim was to highlight the sheer survival aspect of this work, without which many families would be dedicated to the fall - and to decriminalize same time.
