The phasor measurement unit (PMU) is considered to be one of the most important measuring devices in the future of power systems. Reynaldo F. Nuqui is a Principal Scientist at the ABB US Corporate Research Center where he leads the Wide Area Measurement Systems focus area. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech under the mentorship of Benjamin Franklin Medal recipient Arun G. Phadke. Dr. Nuqui was an Assistant Professor and electric utility engineer.
