The books of Ezra and Nehemiah are commonly noted for their negative view of foreigners. Attempts to explain this antagonism have pointed to the sociological dynamics of identity construction and preservation. About the Author:
Armin Siedlecki grew up in Stuttgart, Germany. He studied in Canada at the University of Saskatchewan and Wilfrid Laurier University and received his doctorate from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where he is now Head of Cataloging at the Pitts Theology Library. He is married and has two children.
