Design Methods of Rotors provides new design methods in the trochoidal derives, which could be a reference for engineering students and practicing engineers. The idea of the book could motivate readers with creative thinking. The text of the book includes the trochoidal curve on the geometry design of vacuum pump, gerotor, compressor, cycloidal speed reducer and the design methods. In the vacuum pump design, the author proposed a new method to improve the pump efficiency. In the cycloidal speed reducer design, two types of design on the mathematical model with tooth differences are proposed. The two proposed mathematical models could be applied to the gerotor pump as well. Besides, some other design methods are also presented to improve the gerotor pump. The designs could be exercised not only on the gerotor pump but also the compressor.
