Bangladesh; a vulnerable country in the world, not only affected due to various types of natural disaster, also for inadequate socio-economical supports to cope with adverse effects of calamities. Almost in every year, the coastal regions affected by cyclone, caused huge damages. About 30% peoples live in 19 coastal districts of Bangladesh have no place to attain safe-shelter during the catastrophic situation. It is impossible for ensuring cyclone center for all furthermore, providing adequate cyclone shelter may create another problem rather than solving, like: (i) Huge monetary involvement (ii) infrastructure required land. Considering this, the paper tries to explore a new concept of ?community resilience through VDP?. The main theme is to regulate the various component of a village, in terms of location, design, composition, distribution and material. Considering various data, the paper proposed how an effective VDP can ensure resilience for the coastal inhabitants of Bangladesh. Though the total remedy will not possible through this VDP, however, it starts to minimize the damages due to calamities.

Shuvro Chandan Mahali, & Md. Monjurul Alam has passed their SSC in 2001 and HSC in 2003. They have completed Bachelor degree from Urban and Rural Planning Discipline, Khulna University, in 2008.
