This book shows how India could be made "Congress-grass-Free India" by adopting multi-storey cropping, developing suitable crop ideotypes from amongst indigenous plant genetic resources like fast growing primitive tall chenopods, calotrops etc. Simultaneously, one should have a multi-disciplinary approach, idea of evolutionary trends and ecological insights so as to design suitable plant types. Dr. Shri Niwas Singh is currently teaching in B.R.D. P.G. College, Deoria as an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding. His areas of interest are genetics, plant breeding, ecology & taxonomy. His doctorate degree is from IISc Bengaluru in ecological sciences. He specializes in conservation biology (in-situ conservation).
