This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Studies on Morphology of 30 varieties of Mango leaf, inflorescence, flower, and fruits collected from the orchard of Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh were carried out. A great morphometric variation was observed in the leaf.The inflorescences were all triangular or pyramidal/conical in form except for Rucchado which was cylindrical. The shape of inflorescence was found pyramidal, conical or cylindrical form. The ratio between bisexual and male flower showed variation. The ratio between bisexual and male flower showed variation. Fruit characters like length, diameter, weight and colour were studied. The highest fruit weight and length was found in Jahangir and lowest fruit weight was recorded in Sopari. A colour variation in fruits was also seen among the varieties. The present investigation has established that the morphological characters can be used as a tool for the taxonomic discrimination of varieties of Mangifera indica.
