The main purpose of this study was to explore if the strategies developed by three Bosnian private schools increased students’ tolerance towards other cultures. Another important component is to search whether learning foreign language is an important factor in intercultural tolerance. This study found that speaking foreign languages is the most powerful tool to increase tolerance towards other cultures.

Dr. M. Ugur Turkyilmaz is currently working at the university of UESEL, Bucharest Romania. Dr. Turkyilmaz received his Master of Arts degree from Alverno College, USA in Educational Leadership and Supervision in 2004.In 2012, he earned his PhD from International Burch University, Sarajevo in Applied Linguistics.
