This book presents a research on speaker recognition.Speaker Recognition is the task of recognizing a person from his/her voice.The speech signal contains characteristics of speaker and language.This work highlights the characteristics of the speaker.The speaker characteristics are computed using Linear predictive Analysis where the vocal tract and source features are obtained and are modeled by using Gaussian Mixture Model and Ergodic Hidden Markov Model.The results are produced in MAT LAB. This work on speaker recognition system is robust to noise.

Dr.G.Chenchamma received her B.Tech degree in ECE from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India in 1991 and M.Tech. Degree in Digital system & Computer Electronics from JNTU, Hyderabad in 2004.She is working as a Professor in MIC College of Technology.
