Synopsis

The project is to evaluate the performance of open source router Bifrost, implemented in a laptop machine that can be deployed in future at any area or office network which have low budget. The implementation can be further deployed for a small network with limited resources with selected services running over the machine. Following are the tasks that need to be performed in order to establish a test bed. •Installing Bifrost open source router on a USB stick to be executable at any desired desktop machine. •Test & monitor the functions of Bifrost router by configuring the routing protocols i.e. OSPF, BGP in my case. •Analysis of performance throughput & testing traffic handling capability. •To design a test bed in GNS to test my configurations. •Test both the routers connectivity & configuration using a Linux Client.
