Synopsis
A selection of Magnum photojournalist Erich Hartmann's (1922-1999) personal photography. Hartmann was working on this show when he died suddenly; his wife then took over the planning. The exhibit first appeared in Salzburg and then traveled to the Leica Gallery, NYC. The Deutsch's are the owner's and directors of the Leica Gallery. This is the catalogue that accompanied the exhibit.. Photographs by Erich Hartmann; text by Ruth Bains Hartmann; preface by Rose and Jay Deutsch. 88 pages; duo-toned b&w plates throughout; 11.25 x 9.75 inches. Biographical data.
