About the Author:
Karina Wisniewska was born in Venice, Italy. The versatile artist studied piano, musicology and history of art at the universities of Berne and Salzburg. In 1992, she started her international concert career as soloist and chamber musician. She was awarded "Swiss Musician of the Year" and the prize of the European Cultur-al Foundation in 1997. Her interest in painting was intensified in 1991; since 2000, she has been dedicating herself exclusively to painting and exhibiting her art in renowned galleries in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA as well as at international art fairs. Dominique von Burg is an historian of art and architecture. She lives in Zurich and works as a freelance writer and curator. Guido Magnaguagno was conservator and vice director of the Kunsthaus Zurich from 1980 to 2001 and director of the Museum Jean Tinguely, Basel from 2001 to 2009 when he retired.
