About the Author
Geboren am 18.11.1930 in Bad Landeck/NS. Aufgewachsen von 1932 bis 1941 in Glatz/Schlesien, danach wieder in Bad Landeck wohnhaft. Besuchte das altsprachliche Gymnasium in Glatz. Zu Ostern im Jahr 1946 nach Ostfriesland vertrieben. Drogistenlehre ab 1949 in Lingen (Ems). Danach innerhalb eines Familienunternehmens Aufbau eines Fotogrosslabors und Reorganisation mehrerer fotografischer Betriebe. Fast 45 Jahre Tatigkeit als Prokurist in den Fachbereichen Fertigung, Organisation, Logistik und Umwelt. Seit 1993 im Ruhestand. Berke ist verheiratet mit Frau Gisela, geborene van Kampen. Zwei Kinder Sohn Stephanus und Tochter Claudia. Der Autor fotografierte in zahlreichen Landern auf mehreren Kontinenten und veroffentlichte Erzahlungen, Romane, Fachliteratur, Bildbande und Bildberichte.
