Der Sindelfinger Pfarrer Johann Lorenz Schmidlin (1626-1692) war Mitglied eines Gelehrtenkreises um Prinzessin Antonia von Wurttemberg (1613-1679), der - in Form eines 1673 in der Kirche zu Bad Teinach enthullten Andachtsbildes - eine Visualisierung pansophischer Weltdeutung entwarf. Als Pendant schuf Schmidlin eine Bildbeschreibung in lateinischen Versen.
