Synopsis
An exploration of Process Control, also known as a client-server architecture for exchanging process data. This work provides a purview of underlying principles of OPC, indoctrination of OPC standards, operationalization of standards through technique and exploration of OPC execution. Although the first OPC-standard was published in 1996, and is today widely accepted and used in industries, it is still not very popular in academia, especially in Europe.
