Das Buch untersucht die Bedeutung der Frauenbildnisse in Klimts Oevre und interpretiert einfühlsam die Beziehung zu Emilie Flöge und anderen Frauen in seinem Leben. - Susanna Partsch studierte Kunstgeschichte, Ethnologie und Pädagogik in Heidelberg und arbeitete danach am Ludwigshafener Wilhelm-Hack-Museum. Seit 1985 lebt sie als freie Autorin in München und hat zahlreiche Kunstsachbücher für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene publiziert, darunter bei C.H. Beck: "Tatort Kunst - Über Fälscher, Betrüger und Betrogene", "Wer hat Angst vor Rot, Blau Gelb?" und "Schau mir in die Augen, Dürer" .
