Book Description Zur Genese der philosophischen Hermeneutik Hans-Georg Gadamers. Nach einem Abschnitt über die Geschichte der Hermeneutik vor Gadamer untersucht die Studie im Hauptteil die Bedeutung der Husserlschen Phänomenologie und der Philosophie Heideggers für die Entwicklung der Gadamerschen Hermeneutik. Die Arbeit bezweckt zweierlei zu zeigen: Erstens, daß Gadamers Hermeneutik viel stärker als meistens angenommen von der Philosophie der Neuzeit beeinflußt worden ist. Dies hat zur Folge, daß zweitens die fundamentalen Voraussetzungen der Hermeneutik Gadamers sich grundsätzlich von den Voraussetzungen der Antike unterscheiden.
