The cultural field of advertising is a much-debated topic with perspectives focusing on a range of concepts from harassment and the anxiety of influence to notions of desire and affirmation. Beate Flath (Prof. Dr.) ist Professorin für Eventmanagement mit den Schwerpunkten Popmusikkulturen und digitale Medienkulturen an der Universität Paderborn.
Eva Klein (Dr.) ist Universitätsassistentin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Kunstgeschichte der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Sie leitet dort den Bereich Moderne der Forschungsstelle Kunstgeschichte Steiermark. Zuvor war sie Dozentin am Institut für Kunstgeschichte an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Department für Bildwissenschaften und Leiterin des Studienganges Bildwissenschaften an der Donau-Universität. 2012 wurde sie ausgezeichnet mit dem Alumni-Kunstgeschichte-Preis und 2014 mit dem KUGEL-Leistungspreis. Ihr Forschungsprojekt zur Wandmalerei in der Moderne wurde 2013 ausgezeichnet mit dem Theodor-Körner-Preis. 2012 erhielt sie den Anerkennungspreis für forschungsbasierte Lehre und 2013 den Lehrpreis »Lehre Ausgezeichnet«. Ihre Forschungsbereiche sind: Moderne, Gegenwartskunst, Regionale Kunstgeschichte, Designgeschichte und -theorie sowie politische Kunst.
