It looks carefully at the integrative role of traditional and modern medicine in responding to this crisis. Moreover, it looks at other countries such as China that have used traditional medicine in their health care delivery system. It applies implementation theory in assessing the effectiveness of this integrative strategy in both Sub-Saharan Africa and China. Recommendations for improving the integrative health care system in Africa emerge from this assessment.

About the Author:
Frederick Walugembe grew up in Uganda, went to college in The United States. He earned a master?s degree in political science and a doctorate in educational administration leadership from The University of Toledo. He has taught and worked for various educational organizations in Toledo. He is interested improving education in Africa.
