About the Author

Eric Leif Davin, Ph.D., teaches American history at the University of Pittsburgh and is winner of the Eugene V. Debs Foundation Literature Prize. He is the author of "Partners in Wonder: Women and the Birth of Science Fiction, 1926-1965" Lexington Books, 2006. He is also the author of "Crucible of Freedom: Workers' Democracy in the Industrial Heartland, 1914-1960," Lexington Books, 2010, and "Radicals in Power: The New Left Experience in Office," Lexington Books, 2012.
