My researches, being done focus on the synthesis of a new series of 5-Chloroisatin derivatives using N-alkylation reactions under the conditions of phase transfer catalysis (PTC) by various alkylating agents, as well as that 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions involving azides as dipoles on the dipolarophiles prepared previously, the structures of the various compounds obtained were determined spectroscopically (1H NMR, 13C NMR). Quantum chemistry calculations were used to study the reaction mechanisms and to interpret experimental results using the DFT/B3LYP/6-31G method.
