A founding member of Swiss artists collective M/2, Alain Huck works across media, including painting, drawing, video, and photography. Alain Huck: Les Salons Noirs presents the Salons Noirs series in its entirety and alongside a selection of recent works by Huck, placing this most recent series in the context of his broader body of work and shedding light on his artistic technique and creative process. In addition to affording new ways of approaching Salons Noirs and Huck’s broader body of work, the book also compares Huck’s work with that of other artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Arnold Böcklin, Robert Longo, and Gerhard Richter.
