Synopsis
For many years, David Rabinowitch saw drawing as being inseparable from sculpture. It was only with "The Construction of Vision" in 1969 that he began creating drawings without any direct reference to his sculptural works. With approximately 80 drawings and several exemplary sculptures, the book focuses on the early works of the Canadian artist, who moved to New York in the early 1970s. In-depth texts, an interview, and personal statements round off this unique survey.

About the Author
Jörg Daur is Deputy Director, Custos modern and contemporary art. Jörg Daur has been working in his current position at the museum since 2007, but has been connected to the house since 2000. As the curator, he takes care of modern and contemporary art, as well as the collections. This includes adjusting the upcoming exhibitions according to the collection. In addition to his function as a Custo, he is also Head of Department of the Department of Art and Deputy Director at the Museum Wiesbaden.
