Seine Motive deuten an, sie meiden eine Erklärende Darstellung. Beeinflusst von großen Namen aus der Geschichte der Fotografie wie Robert Frank, Garry Winogrand oder Anders Petersen, flaniert Unverzart als Beobachter durch die Welt, jedoch immer bereit, sein Medium als Spiegel seiner selbst zu benutzen. »don t fade to grey« bleibt eben nicht im Grau stecken, sondern weist mit den schwarzen und weißen Tönen auf die Extreme des Lebens hin, die jeden Moment mitschwingen. Unverzarts Art, Spuren zu lesen und festzuhalten, fu hrt diese banale Erkenntnis immer wieder vor Augen. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem mehrfach ausgezeichneten Buchgestalter Andreas Töpfer begreift Unverzart seine Publikationen als ein Statement und Medium, seine Arbeiten in Buchform zu archivieren und gleichzeitig lebendig zu halten.
