Synopsis

To consider the subject of desire is to approach the intangible, the poetic. And in a sense all photography stems from the desire to grasp what appears through the lens. In the exceptional tradition of Strip and Paradise, this new installment in the series edited by Patrick Remy brings us 80 photographers dealing with the hidden motor that drives their own art. The images collected here serve as an up-to-the-minute survey of contemporary photography worldwide. Patrick Remy is the author of numerous books on fashion and photography, including his most recent work, The Art of Fashion Photography (Prestel). He lives in Paris.
