Synopsis
Rop van Mierlo travaille avec différents médiums, mais commence son processus principalement par des dessins ou des peintures. Le contrôle – ou l'absence de contrôle – est une partie importante de son travail. Il est surtout connu pour son livre d'images Wild Animals, qui a remporté un Dutch Design Award en 2011. Van Mierlo est intrigué par le besoin humain de contrôler la nature. En utilisant une technique « mouillé sur mouillé », il peint des animaux qu'il ne peut pas contrôler.
