Synopsis
This exhibition catalogue is a comprehensive presentation of works from
the late 1970s to the present by the prominent German sculptor Meuser.
Meuser's works are celebrated for investigating the aesthetic potential
of things beyond their most obvious function, as well as the symbolic
nature of industrially manufactured forms. Found objects form the
starting point for the majority of Meuser's wall objects, paintings and
installations. The artist adorns massive construction elements, such as Tgirders,
gratings, shelving systems and metal plates with predominantly
monochrome paint and organizes the individual objects into apparently
random compositions.
