Marco Bertin was born in 1954 in Verona, Italy, where he lives today. After his art studies, he went into contemporary art and journalism. At the end of the seventies, he began to take an interest in photography, first as an academic, then as a gallery owner. From the early eighties, he actively devoted himself to photography, studying landscape photography in particular and developing his own unmistakable technique. His pictures of are exhibited throughout Europe and published in many leading magazines. He made a particular name for himself in Europe with his photographs on the theme of Carnival in Venice.
