The shells are fully illustrated in high quality color plates and often include in the shell's descriptions additional material used to support the author's systematics. We doubt that there ever will be two authors that agree about the speciaition and the taxonomic placements of the variable shells in this family. But Roland presents in this book convincing material for his placements. The book is thoroughly researched and it is an excellent and important contribution to the literature of these molluscs.
