Synopsis
The Retraction of Things was an exhibition series curated by Lukas Töpfer. It dealt with various aspects of the “institution”, the curator, the collector, the “public”, “the work”, the canon etc. The exhibitions took place at 3½,a small room between the third and fourth floor of the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, from September 2014 to January 2015. Their duration varied ― from one day to one month. The fourth publication in the series KW Pocket is published as a tin can containing 25 cards documenting parts of the exhibition series.
