Inscribed and signed by Sturges on the title page: "For Riffer!" followed by signature, "San Francisco," and "December 1994" A striking and increasingly difficult-to-find early Sturges monograph, issued in the desirable Japanese edition. The volume presents Sturges' hallmark black-and-white large-format photography reproduced to a very high standard by Gakken. Copies signed and dated by the photographer are uncommon on the market, particularly examples with clean contemporary inscriptions from the year of publication. Condition: Very Good+/Near Fine. Binding sound and square. Pages clean and bright with no writing or markings apart from the author inscription. Dust jacket shows light shelf handling and faint edge wear only.
