Her peers consider Margaret Yorke to be the equal to P.D. James and Ruth Rendell. She has been a chairman of the Crime Writers' Association and is the 1999 recipient of the Cartier Diamond Dagger.
Since Margaret Yorke's books are so compelling, hearing them narrated is even better than reading them. In the audiobook, the listener and Stephen Dawes are going through his horrendous ordeal together. Dawes is released after 10 years in prison and sets out to discover who really murdered his wife. Trevor Nichols splendidly recreates Yorke's wonderful text and her believable cast of characters. Nothing is as it seems, and the narrator perfectly transfers this disjointed feeling with great skill. Anyone who enjoys great plotting, character development, and being scared will love INTIMATE KILL. S.G.B. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
