Dr. Nurhan Atasoy served as Dean of Istanbul University Faculty of Letters until her retirement in 1999. Dr. Atasoy has been awarded numerous international and national awards, including the Outstanding Service Award by Turkey in 2006. She is currently Senior Scholar in Residence at the Turkish Cultural Foundation. Dr.Lale Uluc completed her Ph.D. at New York University and teaches at Bosphorus University Department of History.
