IoT Management systems need of the scalability, standardized communication, and context-aware requirements to achieve the management of connected devices with security, and accuracy in real environments. Interoperability and heterogeneity between hardware and application layers are also critical issues. Typically, IoT Network Management has complex middleware / platforms that make use of protocols without a standard to support communication and the integration of the connected device on IoT network management. Thus, the evaluation and comparison of such platforms and protocols to choose the best technologies is a hard task, since they are hardly comparable as a consequence of their lack of standardization. Considering the above-mentioned issues, this book focuses on platforms and protocols for network and device management, IoT-based, aiming to select the best candidate between platform(s) and protocol(s) for use in the real environment. In other words: Given the current scenario of the heterogeneity in networks and devices, must be possible to propose a new solution with current platforms and protocols for IoT management.
