The new designed presented in this thesis open up the scopes for high gain, wide band and miniaturized microstrip patch antennas for wireless applications. The controlling tools like slot length, width, angle can be further exploited to achieve tunable parameters of micros trip patch antenna as required in application like medical imaging, cancer detection and smart wireless environment. The idea of implementing artificial neural networks in parameters calculation of microstrip patch antenna invites further exploration of the technique to reduce the complexities in the antenna design and analysis. Integration with optimization techniques such as Genetic algorithm, PSO etc may enhance the efficiency in terms of computational time and accuracy to make the ANN method of antenna design more acceptable especially for the application areas like bio-medical and smart wireless environment.
