Despite its attractiveness, human rights are ambiguous and difficult term to define. The history of political theory is swollen with numerous speculations about what, specifically, are these rights and what they include. Is there any such thing called human rights? One might asks, do we really need to defend (and promote) human rights? I would argue that we need to promote and defend human rights for numerous important reasons the following are just some of (1). They are moral imperative. It is essential to realize that a man should not rest while his fellow men are still in slavery or do not have all of their necessary rights, (2).Political They are political requirement for establishing a free, prosperous and civilized society. People cannot express their feelings and fulfill their demands without their rights being protected, and (3) They are the right thing to do. To put it simply, one could say that people must have their rights, not because they are human rights but because it is the right thing to do. If we do not do these then everything else is wrong.
