Monographic research is devoted to the development of a problem relevant to comparative psychology, which has received insufficient coverage in modern social psychology. The materials of the work give an idea of the essence of the processes taking place in the modern Lebanese and, more broadly, Arab family in order to overcome contradictory trends between outdated traditions and developing interpersonal relations. It attempts to identify the latest trends in the development of the modern Lebanese family that determine the specifics of relationships in the Lebanese family, namely the interaction of Muslim and Christian traditions, the influence of economic organization on the forms of family existence, the canons of education and religious features of relationships, and identify the factors that determine these trends. The authors offer a number of practical recommendations to optimize interpersonal relationships within the Lebanese family. The materials and findings of the study can be used by the spouses to improve interpersonal relations in the family and to overcome marital conflicts more successfully, as well as for mutual adaptation of the spouses in mixed marriages.
