Identifying the chromosomal changes in leukemic cells will help physicians to use targeted therapy, aimed at the specific genetic defect in the cancer cells responsible for leukemia. Conventional karyotyping which shows the structural, numerical, and compound aberrations have improved the genetic diagnosis of leukemia.
