Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common cause of death worldwide. It is often associated with comorbidities that influence the severity of this disease. Aim: To establish an integrated Comorbidome-like representation of the prevalence of comorbidities focused on a prognostic element and to evaluate its relevance in COPD patients. For this reason, were included 154 patients hospitalized for COPD exacerbation during the period from January 2010 to December 2016. For each prognostic factor identified, a bubble graph of the prevalences of comorbidities was drawn (Comorbidome). Results: Comorbidities associated with COPD were represented by anemia (30%), hypertension (23%) and asthma (10%). Comorbidome analysis showed that diabetes was more associated with the frequency of exacerbations. Asthma was associated with a very high risk of readmission. HTA was the only comorbidity associated with transfer to the ICU. Conclusion: Comorbidities associated with COPD are frequent and have an impact on the severity of the disease. 52 pp. Englisch.
