《中华人民共和国科学技术进步法》由第十三届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第三十二次会议于2021年12月24日修订通过，自2022年1月1日起施行。该法共十二章一百七十七条，包括总则、基础研究、应用研究与成果转化、企业科技创新、科学技术研究开发机构、科学技术人员、区域科技创新、国际科学技术合作、保障措施、监督管理、法律责任和附则。科学技术进步法的修订，通过健全科技创新保障措施，完善国家创新体系，破除自主创新障碍因素等，为促进实现高水平科技自立自强提供法治保障。
