On trouvera encore un exercice simple de prononciation, la décomposition du caractère dans l'ordre des traits et enfin, des exemple de son utilisation comme préfixe et suffixe. L'ouvrage est également accompagné d'un index du pinyin, d'un index des radicaux et des caractères, ainsi que d'enregistrements mp3.
