Collection of the Cheng Brothers (The First and Second Volume) is the full collection of the works of Cheng Han and Cheng Yi. The book includes their posthumous papers, the complementary of the posthumous papers, their selections, and their explanation on Yi Jing, Jing Shuo and Words of wisdom. Posthumous papers were recorded by their students and had been compiled by Zhu Xi. The supplements of the posthumous papers were called Wai Shu for that the sources of them were complicated and unreliable, according to Zhu Xi. This selection compiled their poems and other articles. Jing Shuo was their interpretation and understanding on Confucian classics. All the four collections mentioned above were published individually in the Song Dynasty and also once published in a set called The Four Books of Chengs'.
