《中医方剂大辞典》收录了上自秦汉，下迄2010年底1800余种中医药及有关文献中有方名的方剂。全书方剂数目在《中医方剂大辞典》原版基础上增加了2400余首。这些方剂均来源于权威资料，如1987年以后卫生部、国家中医药管理局评定的《首批国家级名老中医效验秘方精选》、原卫生部颁发的《药品标准．中药成方制剂》、《国家药品标准·新药转正标准》、《中华人民共和国药典》(简称《中国药典》)2010版等。 这本彭怀仁、王旭东、吴承艳、孙世发编写的《中医方剂大辞典(第6册第2版)(精)》是其中一册。
