Synopsis
《思想与运动》初版于1934年，是亨利·柏格森生前出版的最后一部著作。该书收录了柏格森在1903-1923年间发表的文章和会议论义。对于《创造进化沦》的作者来说，这本书是最后一次机会向广大读者介绍其哲学方法：现实应该在时间(绵延)中被思考和理解。同时，这种新的哲学思考方式并不与科学论述相排斥。科学与哲学应该通力合作，共同造就一种新的世界观——人类的经验并不孤立于自已的身体和其他生命物种，甚至无生命物质。
柏格森一直反对那些惯用抽象概念、玩弄词义的哲学理论，因为它们中断了真实的运动和无所不在的关联。对于柏格森来说，“运动”就是实在，“思想”只是运动中的一个小事件和派生物。在这个意义上，我们可以说，柏格森以一种有别于马克思主义的方式，阐明了物质(运动)第一性、思想第二性的观点。
