Synopsis
《马克思主义与国家：一种分析的方法》是英国利兹贝克特大学政治学教授保罗·威瑟利的代表作。作者对马克思主义的国家理论做出了新阐释，不仅阐明了马克思的历史理论和国家理论之间的关系、工具主义和结构主义解释国家的方法、经济基础与上层建筑的区别，而且拓展了一种分析的方法。本书借鉴了科恩对马克思历史理论的功能解释，但也对其提出了批评。作者认为，与生产力和生产关系方面的详细论证相比，科恩对经济基础与上层建筑的关系的论证是相当有限的，并试图弥补这一不足。本书从全新的视角对经济基础为什么需要上层建筑这一问题提供了一个更为系统的答案。
