Synopsis
This is a text book that leads Chinese learners to know about Chinese culture and grasp certain Chinese skills under the perspective of comparative culturology by the cultural comparison between China and America. It is composed of two parts with 30 lessons each of which includes text, vocabulary, text comprehension, information link, material collection and development activity. Each text was displayed with the cultural differences between China and America under the same topic so as to deepen students understanding to Chinese culture through comparison. The topics cover many aspects including country profile, daily life, leisure and recreation, education, politics and society, economics and culture, and national character and more, which is attached with English translation. As for exercise in each lesson, it checks students understanding to text content through true or false, choice question, and questions and answers so as to help students through material collection, exploration, discussion and report.
